Role Description
The Staff Accountant position at our client is a full-time, on-site role located in Antioch, IL. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and preparing financial reports. Additional responsibilities include assisting with month-end and year-end closing, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting internal and external audits.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting practices such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
- Strong skills in financial reporting, bank reconciliations, and budgeting
- Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Analytical skills and attention to detail for ensuring accuracy in financial records
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently in an on-site environment and manage time effectively
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Relevant accounting certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus
