Orenda Education does not sponsor or assume sponsorship of employment visas.JOB TITLE: HIGH SCHOOL MATH TEACHERREPORTS TO: PRINCIPALFLSA STATUS: EXEMPT POSITIONSALARY RANGE: $54,500-$62,081 ANNUALLYWORK DAYS: 187 BLOCATION: KINGSLAND SCHOOL - KINGSLAND TEXASSTIPENDS: One time sign on Math $2000 and Title 1 stipend of $1000 to be paid at the end of the school year prorated.**TIA Designated Teachers encouraged to apply**POSITION SUMMARY: The teacher will monitor student learning and progress on online curriculum, support student learning through re-teaching and small group interventions, communicate student progress to parents and coordinator, differentiate instructional methodologies for individual student needs, facilitate student behaviors, and implement established campus and classroom systems.

Coordinate online and blended learning.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Actively monitors students during the instructional time.Demonstrates the ability to evaluate student needs.Demonstrates the ability to develop and implement strategies for individual learners.Reviews and scores assignments needing teacher review.Re-teaches assignments to individual students as necessary.Reassigns quizzes, assignments, or tests as necessary and in a timely manner.Provides individual assistance to students, as necessary.Monitors students adherence to daily schedule.Initiates and participates in conferences with students and/or parents as necessary.Records student attendance accurately and timely each period.Supports and implements the classroom procedures adopted by campus.Utilizes effective positive behavior support strategies in the classroom.Implements classroom management system with positive attitude.Follows the established discipline sequence.Supervises students during breaks.Works collaboratively with other members of campus and district staff to serve the needs of all students.Reports and communicates student progress to campus coordinator and parents.Resolves parent/student issues and concerns in a timely manner.Manages student behavior in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and handbook.Assists inmonitoring students and creating a safe campus environment by reporting to duty assignments as assigned by principal.Participates in all continuing professional development and relevant ARD meetings.Compiles, maintains, and submits reports, records and other documents, as required.Protects confidentiality of students and their families.Participates in performance improvement activities.Support the mission and vision of the campus and district.Adheres to policies and procedures of the campus and district.Follows the chain of commandResponds positively to supervisionDemonstrates an open and flexible teaching personalityOffers assistance without being required to do so; takes the initiative when appropriateDemonstrates positive thinkingApproaches responsibilities with enthusiasm, dedication, and energyProvides an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of studentsDemonstrates a positive attitude towards co-workersDemonstrates good judgment in dealing with situationsDemonstrates regular and on-time attendanceComplies with policies established by federal and state law, including but not limited to State Board of Education and local Board policy.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES REQUIRED: Knowledge of: Principles, theories, methods, techniques, and strategies pertaining to teaching and instructing student in the subject and grade level assigned.Strong knowledge of developing curriculum and along with integrating technology into daily instruction.Ability to: Design, develop, and implement subject area curriculum that is based on best practices.Provide effective and innovative learning experiences for students at a college preparatory level.Provide an attractive, inviting and stimulating learning environment and develop positive relationships with students.Experience: Successful completion of student teaching at a recognized college or university or other applicable field/volunteer work.Must be Tech savvyEducation: A four-year BA degree from an accredited college/universityTexas Teacher Certificate Math 7-12/8-12 or attending an approved alternative certification plan in the areaswith a working knowledge Additional certification or ability to receive certification in English as a second language (ESL)CPR and first aid strongly desired.
