Certified Veterinary Technician -Part time

Oregon Veterinary Dental Specialists is looking for an experienced CVT to join our dental team.

The Certified Veterinary Technician role is vital to the operation of Oregon Veterinary Dental Specialists by providing high standard dental and anesthesia care for our patients and quality service to our clients. The CVT will work directly in partnership with our DVM specialist to perform dental procedures and ensure client satisfaction.

Who we are: We are a well-established, privately owned referral practice located in Lake Oswego, Oregon. As a dental specialty practice, we provide endodontic therapy, orthodontics, jaw fracture repair, cleft palate repair, and treatment of periodontal disease. We remove oral tumors and perform mandibulectomies and maxillectomies.

Job responsibilities/Skills:

• Assisting the DVM with operatory set up.
• Performing dental duties such as intraoral radiographs and CT, scaling and polishing teeth, preparing patients for surgery, inducing and monitoring anesthesia.
• Medical record and dental charting.
• Patient discharge and client education.
• Sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly treatment environment and ensure OSHA compliance.
• IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, dental instrumentation and radiography experience is desired.
• Anesthetic drug and equipment knowledge and anesthetic monitoring experience is desired.
