The OSP workforce is comprised of more than 1,400 sworn and professional staff in the areas of patrol, criminal investigation, forensic services, medical examiner, state fire marshal, gaming regulation, fish and wildlife regulation, public safety communications, and information management with a biennial budget of approximately $500 million total funds. This recruitment announcement will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates to fill the current vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.
What will you do?
Respond to public inquiries regarding criminal histories through the Open Records process. Provide backup to public fingerprinting services. Participate in quality control procedures for CJIS functions.

To Qualify:
Two years of general clerical experience, one year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating documents;
OR
An Associate's degree in Office Occupations or Office Technology;
OR
Graduation from a private school of business with a Certificate in Office Occupations or Office Technology and one year of general clerical experience.
College courses in Office Occupations or Office Technology will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
LEDS certification required after initial hire date.
Notary Certification required after initial hire date.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to work independently
- Problem solving skills
- Experience with time management, organization and meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to understand policy or procedure manuals, handbooks, or other types of reference materials to incorporate into future decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to apply excellent internal and external customer service skills
