Initial Posting Date: 10/26/2023 Application Deadline: 11/15/2023 Agency: Oregon State Department of Police Salary Range: $4,185.00 - $6,480.00 Position Type: Employee Position Title: Business Operations Supervisor 1 Job Description: The Oregon State Police in Salem, Oregon is hiring for one (1) Full-Time, Permanent Business Operations Supervisor 1 – Graveyard position and one (1) Full-Time, Limited Duration Business Operations Supervisor 1 – Swing shift position—expecting to end on or before 06/30/2025. The Limited Duration appointment may be extended beyond this date or may end prior to this date, based upon funding. What will you do? In this position, you will supervise the ABIS unit and other shift employees and related operations in coordination with program managers of the CJIS Division, which consists of Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS), Firearm Instant Check System (FICS), Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS), a Computerized Criminal History (CCH) Unit, and a Sex Offender Registration (SOR) Unit. This position has 1 Limited Duration Swing Shift available – 3:30pm-12:00am, Days off Sunday/Monday and 1 Permanent Graveyard shift available – 12:00am-8:30am, Days off Friday/Saturday to keep CJIS operational 24/7. Minimum Qualifications (these must be addressed in your resume for full consideration): Three years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR A bachelor’s degree in a related field. Preferred Skills (these must be addressed in your cover letter for full consideration): Strong written and oral communication skills with a variety of audiences Work experience in a public safety organization Experience managing programs that rely heavily on software Experience managing program staff in a 24/7 work unit Experience with time management, organization and meeting deadlines Skills in personnel management to include hiring, training and discipline Special Qualifications: Must be LEDS certified or be able to obtain certification upon hire.
