Oregon Sports and Family Health is hiring for a full time Rehab Specialist/Chiropractic Assistant! We are an interdisciplinary rehab focused clinic with chiropractic, massage therapy, acupuncture and exercise therapy/movement coaching. Our practice treats a diverse mixture of patients including various types of athletes, chronic and acute pain issues, post surgical, and more. We are looking to hire a clinical-minded professional with a passion for movement and patient care as a Rehab Specialist/Chiropractic Assistant. In this role, you won’t just be assisting—you’ll be a vital partner in the healing process, working directly alongside our chiropractors to design and execute rehabilitative exercise/movement programs.
Responsibilities:
- Performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques, and helping patients learn the proper use of exercise equipment
- Monitoring patient motion throughout treatment and immediately reporting concerns.
- Conduct a movement screen/assessment on new/initial patients to track baseline, progress, and release from care with distinct functional improvement.
- Documenting patients' responses to treatment
- Consult with Chiropractors to review and assess patient notes for preparation, modification, and coordination of treatment
- Protects patient information in accordance with HIPAA laws and federal guidelines at all times.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment including all workstations, cleaning, and sanitizing equipment before patient use and at the beginning and end of everyday
- Assist in networking/marketing and attending events as needed
- Obtaining and retaining a Chiropractic Assistant (CA) License
Chiropractic Assistant Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Nationally recognized fitness certification/degree
Skills Required:
- Relevant training as a personal trainer or in a gym setting
- Physiotherapy knowledge is preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Calming and uplifting personality
- The ability to motivate
- Documentation skills
- The ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere
- Strong attention to detail
- Be able to be on your feet for long periods of time
- Flexible and adaptable
- Physical ability to perform or demonstrate exercises
