- Maintain a safe, welcoming environment for visitors and employees.
- Control the main vehicle entrance and help enforce site policies.
- Patrol the grounds and facilities, including regular security sweeps.
- Observe and document incidents, criminal activity, and hazardous conditions.
- Lock, unlock, and alarm facilities and respond appropriately during emergencies.
- Write daily activity and incident reports for management review.
- Coordinate professionally with Garden staff, outside security providers, and law enforcement.
- At least one year of security-industry experience.
- Current Oregon DPSST certification preferred, or the ability to become certified before starting.
- Current driver’s license and ability to provide a satisfactory DMV report after hire.
- Comfort using a computer and Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
