OLS represents a statewide network of companies, research institutions, and partners across medical devices, therapeutics, diagnostics, digital health, and advanced manufacturing. This role sits at the center of that ecosystem and offers the opportunity to shape strategy, influence policy, and strengthen Oregon’s position as a hub for innovation.
The Role
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & CEO will set and execute the organization’s strategic vision, oversee operations, and serve as the primary external representative. This leader will drive membership growth, expand partnerships, advance workforce initiatives, and ensure strong financial and organizational performance.

Qualifications
- 15 years of progressive leadership experience, including executive-level roles
- Demonstrated success in organizational growth, partnerships, and revenue development
- Strong operational and financial management experience
- Experience working with Boards and governance structures
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred
- Background in life sciences, healthcare, or related sectors
- Experience in membership organizations or nonprofits
- Workforce development or training program experience
- Advanced degree (MBA, MPA, or related field)

- Oregon-based (in-state residency required)
- Up to 20% travel
