Position Summary
ORCHWA is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide CHW workforce support, facilitate communities of practice for community-based CHWs and for CHW supervisors, provide direct clinical supervision, and aid in informing the development of ORCHWA’s CHW Collaborative Network Program. This role includes facilitating trauma-informed, strength-based communities of practice for CHWs and CHW supervisors employed by partner organizations, delivering training, and providing technical assistance to ensure effective program implementation and development of promising practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide clinical supervision to community-based CHWs employed by community-based organizations, ensuring adherence to promising practices and regulatory compliance.
- Lead communities of practice that promote knowledge sharing and professional growth among CHWs and CHW supervisors.
- Develop (as necessary) and facilitate training on mental health, case management, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing.
- Provide resources and support to reduce workforce burnout.
- Collaborate with ORCHWA leadership and CHW Collaborative Network team members to develop program workflows.
- Maintain documentation of supervision, training, and program outcomes in compliance with organizational policies.
- Participate in the program design, evaluation, and identification of promising practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Practical knowledge of the social service/nonprofit sector.
- Current LCSW license in Oregon.
- Experience providing clinical supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervision experience.
- Strong understanding of and direct experience with community-centered work.
- Experience and comfort working and communicating cross-culturally.
- Analytical and creative problem-solving.
- Strong oral and written communication.
- Reliable transportation.
Qualifications/Preferred Experience
- Experience working with traditional health workers (CHWs, Peer Wellness Specialists, Peer Support Specialists, and/or Birth Doulas)
- Familiarity with Medicaid and/or private insurance billing processes and regulations.
- Experience with process development and improvement.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience designing and implementing program policies and procedures.
- Experience monitoring policy and process compliance.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with the non-profit sector.
