JOB GOAL:
To work with the Director of Human Resources to assist with the planning, coordinating and supervising the operation of the Human Resources Department, including the recruitment, screening, placement of staff, collective bargaining, supporting systems for principal support, contract administration and professional growth.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bilingual preferred.
- MA degree or higher
- Hold a current TSPC Professional Administrator License
- Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching/ administrative experience, or a combination of both, in public education, collective bargaining and contract administration.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Personal skills include negotiating challenging conversations, empathy, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and Board may find acceptable and appropriate.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the formulation and implementation of a program and processes for recruiting, selecting, interviewing, and placing licensed and classified employees, including vacancy information, processing applications, verification of qualifications, referrals to appropriate potential site supervisors, and the development of all assignments, transfers, dismissals, and promotions.
- Create systems and resources for Supervisors and Principals for consistent, district wide practices.
- Coordinate staff assignments and transfers. Support supervisors and principals with process for staff movements.
- Maintain adequate records of personnel. Support supervisors and principals’ use of tech tools for observations and evaluations.
- Supervise the recruitment and placement of licensed, classified, and substitute staff in line with district goals for staffing.
- Partner with the Business Office to ensure staff is properly paid– salaries, wages, and benefits for classified and licensed staff.
- Assist with coordinating and administering the District's collective bargaining agreements.
- Assist with coordinating the District's evaluation process for all District classified and licensed employees.
- Assist with coordinating the District's Affirmative Action and non-discrimination personnel activities.
- Provide necessary processing for issuance and renewal of state certification, and provide licensure information for state and federal reports.
- Counsel and advise applicants, probationary, and contracted personnel.
- Respond to questionnaires, surveys and correspondence from research or professional organizations requesting information on the District's personnel program and to requests of District personnel on matters not clearly covered by regulation, policy or legislation.
- Assist the Superintendent and Director of Human Resources in the area of administration.
- Assist in all efforts to interpret the educational programs to the patrons of the District.
- Work as a team with District office administrators.
- Consult with administrative staff on all matters directly affecting their duties.
- Support the Superintendent and Director of Human Resources in overall administrative efforts; interpret their ideas and decisions to staff and the public; keep them informed of pertinent developments and events and seek their counsel on decisions as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent and/or Director of Human Resources.
REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources
SUPERVISES: Staff members designated by the Director of Human Resources
This position is 240 days per year.

Salary Range: $109,366 - $151,477
