What are the responsibilities and job description for the ESY Facilitator position at Oregon City School District 62?
Preference will be given to internal candidates.
This is a position to help oversee the day-to-day Extended School Year (ESY) program. It is not an administrative position. The position would start one week before ESY officially begins, Monday through Thursday, up to 20 hours per week, plus up to 3 additional days after the program concludes.

The Extended School Year (ESY) Facilitator plays a crucial role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the ESY program. This position assists in the implementation of the overall program by managing schedules, coordinating substitute staff as needed, and providing on-site support to ensure a positive and effective learning environment for students. The ESY Facilitator works collaboratively with program staff and related service providers to facilitate the delivery of individualized education program (IEP) goals and objectives during the summer session.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the daily operational needs of the ESY program.
- Help manage and maintain program schedules for students and staff.
- Coordinate and secure substitute staff coverage as necessary.
- Serve as a point of contact for staff, students, and families regarding daily program logistics.
- Support the implementation of instructional activities under the direction of administrative staff.
- Assist with the organization and distribution of program materials and resources.
- Help ensure adherence to program policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with Student Services administrators regarding program needs and any challenges.
- Provide general on-site support to students and staff to foster a positive and productive learning environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the successful operation of the ESY program.
This is a temporary 5 hour/day position for ESY.
ESY Schedule: July 7-July 24, 2025; Monday -Thursday, four hours per day
