Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and assembly of food products according to established recipes and procedures.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely, adhering to mechanical knowledge requirements and safety protocols.
- Follow FDA regulations, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards to ensure food safety and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and tools in compliance with sanitation guidelines.
- Package finished products efficiently while ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to identify any deviations or defects.
- Support inventory management by accurately measuring ingredients using basic math skills and recording production data as required.
- Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment safely when necessary to move raw materials or finished goods within the plant.
Experience
- Prior experience in food processing, manufacturing, or a related food industry environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, and CGMP standards is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with sanitation procedures and food safety practices within a food processing plant is advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating industrial equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for ingredient measurement and quality control purposes.
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification is preferred.
