What Will You Be Doing?
As an Apprentice Bioscience Industry Technician, you will work alongside an experienced trainer to develop expertise in:
Equipment Operation & Maintenance
- Operate specialized machinery and follow established protocols
- Perform routine troubleshooting, maintenance, and equipment assembly
- Assist with major equipment repairs and installations
Compliance & Documentation
- Adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records, including batch logs and quality documentation
- Ensure proper accountability and traceability of components and finished products
Production Support
- Execute production processes and coordinate material movements
- Conduct manual product inspections with a focus on quality
- Assist in cleaning, sterilization, and disassembly of processing equipment
Safety & Housekeeping
- Conduct safety and housekeeping audits
- Maintain a clean and organized production environment
- Safely handle and dispose of hazardous materials
Team Collaboration
- Work efficiently within a team to maximize productivity and quality
- Report and recommend improvements related to equipment, supplies, and processes
Compensation
Apprentices start with a training wage that increases as they progress. In the Bend area, apprentices wages are as follows:
- First 3-6 months: Minimum of $21.21 per hour
- After 6 months, $23.85-25 depending on training agent
- End of program (about 1 year): At least $26.00 per hour

Qualifications
To apply, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Be legally authorized to work in the U.S
- Be eager to learn and committed to a long-term career in biosciences
- Be dedicated to completing required virtual coursework
- Willingness to complete pre-employment physical exam and vision test
