ORE Designs is looking for a dependable, skilled Laser / Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. This is a high-accuracy role responsible for operating our state-of-the-art CNC Fiber Laser with automated material handling, as well as a press brake, metal sheet rollers, and band saws. You will work directly from drawings to ensure every part is cut and formed to exact specifications. Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience operating CNC-controlled machinery, specifically fiber lasers and press brakes.
- Must possess basic mathematical skills (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation of dimensions, angles, and radiuses.
- Ability to use a caliper and taper measure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience with CNC Software, Nesting Software, Solidworks, etc.
- Must be 18 years of age or older due to the requirement to operate specific equipment.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Read and analyze work orders, blueprints, production schedules, as well as other records and reports.
- Ensure the quality meets or exceeds the company’s standards.
- Physical labor is a requirement of this position. Ability to work on feet all day and lift up to 75 pounds four feet in height.
- Operate machines including a mid-size metal sheet roller, a band saw and a press brake.
- Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization.
- Regular, timely, and predictable attendance is required for this position.
Pay & Schedule
- Swing Shift: Monday - Thursday from 4:15 pm - 2:45 am.
- Hourly Rate: $22.00 – $30.00 per hour, DOE.
- Overtime: Friday shifts may be required based on production needs; all hours over 40 are paid at time-and-a-half.
