What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Resource Math Teacher position at Ore City Middle School?
The Middle School Math Teacher will provide instruction aligned with state standards in math for students in grades 6–8. The ideal candidate will foster a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and a love for math.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging Math lessons based on TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills)

Implement effective instructional strategies that meet the diverse needs of learners

Create a positive classroom culture that promotes student achievement and personal growth

Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly

Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student success

Integrate technology and digital literacy into lessons where appropriate
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education

Valid Texas teaching certification in Math (4–8 or EC–6 with experience)

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate middle school students
