Take Flight Dyslexia Therapist (CALT)
Ore City ISD-Special Programs
Ore City ISD is seeking a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) to provide intensive dyslexia intervention using the Take Flight curriculum developed by the Scottish Rite for Children. This position suppports students across campuses and plays a key role in strengthening literacy outcomes within our MTSS framework in alignment with guidance from the Texas Education Agency.
- Primary Responsibilities
- Provide small-group, strutured literacy intervention using Take Flight with fidelity
- Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
- Participate in ARD, 504, and MTSS meetings
- Support early identification and data-driven decision making
- Collaborate with teahers to reinforce strutred literacy practices
- Communicate student progress with families
Qualifications:
- Master's degree and valid Texas teaching certificate
- Current CA:T certfication through the Academic Language Therapy Association
- Completed Take Flight training
- Knowledge of dyslexia, structured literacy, and MTSS processes
