Job Summary
The Field Superintendent is responsible for overseeing subcontractors in all phases of the project, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality standards. This role involves managing day-to-day on-site operations, coordinating with subcontractors, and enforcing safety protocols. This position will play a key role in upholding our company’s reputation for delivering high-quality, on-schedule projects.
Responsibilities
· Oversee daily site operations and manage all phases of the project.
· Management and assurance of quality control.
· Schedule development and coordination.
· Plan, schedule, and conduct all onsite meetings with the client, ORCOM personnel, and subcontractors.
· Perform and document all onsite inspections.
· Ensure all work performed onsite is compliant with the contract documents.
· Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure work aligns with project timelines and budgets.
· Identify and troubleshoot on-site issues, making real-time adjustments to minimize project delays.
· Maintain accurate and timely project documentation, including progress reports, safety logs, and site photos.
· Ensure all individuals are following all safety requirements
Skills
• Ability to manage crews and subcontractors effectively.
• Skills in scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Familiarity with blueprints, construction drawings, and building codes.
Qualifications
HS Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree (preferred but not required)
5 years’ minimum experience in construction as a superintendent.
Experience in commercial, and industrial construction.
OSHA 30
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (6–8 hours per day) across uneven, rough, or slippery terrain typical of construction sites.
· Frequent movement between different areas of the site is required.
· Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding, or stairs and maintain balance at heights.
· Ability to Inspect elevated work areas like roofs or structural frames which may be part of daily tasks.
· Regularly required to bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch to inspect work, measure, or examine materials and equipment.
· Lifting and Carrying up to 50 pounds.
May involve heavier lifting with team assistance or machinery.
· Pushing/pulling tools, equipment, or other materials as necessary on-site.
Travel
This position requires frequent travel to and from construction sites, which may involve daily commuting or overnight stays. The Field Superintendent must be able to travel independently and reliably, with occasional trips between multiple job sites. Travel time and distance may vary depending on project locations.
