Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Leasing Agent to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing leasing activities, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting residents and maintaining positive relationships within our community. Experience with Yardi, and property management software is highly desirable, along with strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations. The Leasing Agent will play a vital role in promoting our properties, facilitating lease agreements, and ensuring a seamless leasing process.
Duties
- Greet prospective tenants and conduct property tours to showcase available units.
- Manage the leasing process from application to lease signing, including data entry and filing of tenant information.
- Utilize property management software such as Yardi and Rent Cafe for vacancy tracking, rent collection, and reporting.
- Handle tenant inquiries via phone and in person with professional office etiquette.
- Negotiate lease terms and contracts while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing laws and legal requirements.
- Conduct credit checks, background screenings, and verify tenant eligibility in accordance with legal standards.
- Assist with property maintenance coordination and facilitate communication between tenants and maintenance staff.
- Upsell additional services or amenities to prospective tenants to enhance occupancy rates.
- Manage conflict resolution between tenants or applicants through effective conflict management strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of leasing activities, contracts, and correspondence for audit purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property leasing, property management, or real estate administrative roles.
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations.
- Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, and CMMS systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, contract management, and upselling techniques.
- Office experience including data entry, filing, and administrative support tasks.
- Knowledge of facilities management or property maintenance processes is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
