About UsOrchard Mental Health Group is a thriving, multi-location insurance based outpatient private practice with a team of 165 clinicians across Maryland. We provide therapy, psychiatric care, and psychological testing for children, adolescents, and adults. Our Assessment Team is growing, and we are seeking a few full-time Licensed Assessment Psychologists to join us in delivering high-quality cognitive and academic psychological assessments. We currently have a 9-month testing waitlist and a variety of interesting cases are available.
Position SummaryThe Psychologist will administer and score standardized assessments for children and/or adults based on clinical expertise. Typical referrals are for ADHD and Autism across the lifespan, but differential diagnostic rule-outs are common too as we share cases with our therapy and psychiatry teammates. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, professional, and passionate about using data-driven insights to help clients and families better understand their learning, cognitive, and emotional needs. Opportunities for supervising externs and postdocs are available. We have a vast library of testing materials and are always open to adding tools of interest.
Responsibilities
- Administer standardized cognitive and academic assessments (e.g., WISC, WAIS, WIAT, WJ, etc.) to children and adults
- Score and organize assessment data for report writing
- Ensure testing protocols are followed with accuracy and consistency
- Maintain professional documentation in compliance with practice standards
- Collaborate with Psychologists and participate in case discussions in Grand Rounds, didactics, and peer consultation groups
- Attend Assessment Team meetings and continuing education opportunities
Qualifications
- Doctorate (PhD, PsyD) degree in Psychology (required)
- Full unrestricted license to practice Psychology in Maryland
- At least 2 years of assessment administration experience (required)
- Experience in administering Autism (ADOS, MIGDAS, CARS) Assessments (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with children, adolescents, and adults
- High attention to detail, reliability, and organizational skills
- Availability to work on-site at our Annapolis office at least 2 days/week
