Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionists/Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care. As a Medical Receptionists/Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient clinic operations and tasks that will help run a smooth practice. Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting current health concerns.
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rates, and temperature accurately.
- Ability to perform EKG's, strep, pregnancy testing, urine testing and finger sticks. (will train)
- Vaccine administration (if certified)
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document patient information thoroughly and accurately.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, explaining things clearly, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.
- Knowledge of insurances and CPT 10 codes
- Front desk duties include, scheduling appointments, answering phones, taking refill requests and calling patients with laboratory and radiology results.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience preferred but not a must.
- Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize clinical and administrative duties..
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor towards patients..
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments with excellent organization and time management skills.
- Proficient in computer skills.
