What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reading Interventionist position at Orchard Farm School District?
Orchard Farm Elementary and Discovery Elementary School's are seeking 3 Reading Interventionists to join our team! OFE and DES, are guided by core values of Leadership, Learning and Relationships. We are looking for positive, collaborative, hard-working team players to join our staff!
Our Reading Interventionists are responsible for providing outstanding instruction and nurturing an environment conducive to learning for the students they serve so each student can reach their full potential as leaders and learners. They will work collaboratively with other members of the reading department to plan instruction, assess student progress, promote reading, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree or higher
- Must hold a teaching certificate and able to to have active teaching or subbstitute certificate
- Ability to relate to students, staff, and parents in a positive manner
- Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form
- Ability to follow written and oral communication
- Ability to problem solve
An individual who holds this position is required to:
- Assist students according to their individualized needs in a small group setting
- Assist in student supervision across settings as assigned
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members to plan for an monitor instruction
- Maintain confidentiality of information about children and their families in accordance with Board policy and law
- Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings and special events when requested by administration
- Follow instructions from teachers and administrators
