Locum Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Emergency Medicine

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Medicine for our client in Missouri!

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient emergency department coverage managing approximately 24 patients per shift within a 28-bed, stroke-certified hospital setting.
• Deliver comprehensive emergency medicine clinical management across high-acuity patient presentations.
• Utilize Cerner EMR for patient charting and clinical documentation while adhering to hospital operational standards.

Qualifications

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) (NCCPA, ANCC, or AANP).
• Active Missouri state medical license.
• Required life support certifications strictly issued through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC): ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP.

Schedule

• Coverage Needed: 11/1/2026 – Ongoing active clinical coverage.
• Shift Structure: 12-hour shifts; providers must be willing to work all shift schedules (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM, and 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
• Call Requirements: Scheduled clinical hours only with no call coverage required.
• Credentialing Time Frame: Approximately 120 days.

Skills

• Strong clinical proficiency in high-acuity emergency medicine evaluation, stabilization, and patient care management.
• Flexibility to cover rotating day, mid, and night shift schedules in a fast-paced 28-bed emergency department.
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR systems for clinical documentation and charting.

All travel expenses are reimbursed by our client and Orchard covers malpractice insurance with tail coverage!
