What You’ll Do
You’ll manage freight operations by coordinating loads, tracking shipments, and communicating clearly with everyone involved in the transportation process.
Your day-to-day:
- Coordinate freight loads with drivers and dispatchers from pickup to delivery
- Track shipments and keep Account Managers informed
- Communicate with drivers, carriers, to spot any delays with pick up and delivery times
- Schedule pickups and deliveries to meet deadlines
- Handle delays and resolve issues as they come up
- Maintain accurate shipment records and confirmations
- Use transportation management systems to monitor loads
Must-haves:
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Clear, professional communication skills
- Goal-driven and self-motivated
- Able to multitask and stay calm under pressure
- Comfortable using computers and logistics software
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
- Sales experience – helpful for managing relationships
- Customer service background
- Experience juggling multiple priorities and deadlines
- $55,000 starting salary
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8am - 5pm
- In-office position
