Job Description
ORCAS is seeking a Scheduler to join our team for a high-complexity manufacturing facility upgrade and expansion. This is a hands-on position where you'll serve as the scheduling expertise for a large-scale capital program, bringing together multiple scopes on multiple buildings into a cohesive integrated schedule.
Scope may include standard building construction, cleanrooms, HVAC, mechanical, process piping, plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, automation systems, and the installation and commissioning of complex manufacturing equipment.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop schedule architecture and establish baseline schedules.
- Facilitate schedule updates and manage the full update process end-to-end.
- Perform what-if scenario analysis, advanced schedule analysis, and variance reporting.
- Manage schedule changes, assess change impacts, quantify schedule impacts, and conduct forensic schedule analysis.
- Resource load schedule for planned labor distributions.
- Monitor productivity and earned value; translate findings into actionable insights.
- Prepare schedule narratives, status reports, and executive-level presentations.
- Facilitate schedule meetings.
- Support development of schedule-related processes, procedures, and training materials.
- Communicate effectively across all levels, from field foremen to vice presidents.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience on multiple large-scale, complex projects and programs ($500M ).
- Intermediate knowledge of Integrated Project Schedules (IPS) across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation scopes.
- Specific experience in complex industrial or semiconductor facilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive presentations.
- Proven team orientation with a commitment to collective success.
Education & Experience
- 6 years of relevant scheduling experience; 5 years in Primavera P6.
- Experience on large-scale semiconductor projects strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, statistics, mathematics, or a related technical field experience.
- PMI or AACE certification is a plus.
