Job Description
Orca is seeking a part time Livestream Host to lead engaging, entertaining, and interactive livestreams for brands. The ideal candidate is a charismatic and dynamic individual who can build an energetic atmosphere while promoting products, engaging with viewers, and driving sales. This role requires a passion for live broadcasting, strong communication skills, and the ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Host live-streaming sessions, engaging with the audience in real-time to promote products and brand stories.
- Create a fun and interactive environment that encourages audience participation, product discovery, and conversion.
- Collaborate with the content and marketing teams to develop show formats, scripts, and event schedules.
- Utilize audience interaction tools (polls, comments, giveaways) to foster a sense of community and excitement.
- Stay informed on product offerings, promotions, and key messaging, ensuring accurate and compelling product descriptions during broadcasts.
- Monitor and analyze livestream performance metrics, including viewer engagement, conversion rates, and sales.
- Promote upcoming livestreams on social media platforms, helping to build anticipation and attract new viewers.
- Support the coordination of livestream events, working closely with technical teams to ensure smooth production.
- Collaborate with brand representatives, influencers, and other stakeholders to ensure brand alignment and effective promotion.
Basic Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in live broadcasting, hosting, or a similar role.
- Strong verbal communication skills and a natural ability to connect with audiences.
- Comfortable with live interactions and improvisation in real-time.
- Ability to think quickly, adapt to unexpected situations, and maintain composure.
- Passion for ecommerce, livestreaming, and social media.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks during live events.
- Positive, energetic personality with a strong presence on camera.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with livestreaming platforms such as Tiktok, Instagram, YouTube Live, or Facebook Live.
- Familiarity with ecommerce or social commerce strategies.
- Background in content creation, social media marketing, or influencer engagement.
- Knowledge of video production and livestreaming tools (e.g., OBS, StreamYard).
