SEG Systems is an in-house manufacturer that designs, engineers, and builds custom light boxes and retail displays for some of the biggest brands in retail, sports, corporations, trade show exhibitors, and events to visually communicate in a powerful way.

Position Summary:


The Sales Manager – (SM) is responsible for new sales conversion efforts of his or her team to generate enhanced revenue and improved margins in all markets nationwide.  Further, they will be responsible for increasing the share of wallet of existing clients, and the retention of the client base.  As the key focus is new sales conversion growth, this position will be responsible for training the sales team, developing their capabilities, aggressively monitoring sales leads, funnel development, and the reporting of performance results utilizing NetSuite CRM.  The SM will also collaborate with others in the creation of sales tools and collateral, and will serve  as the corporate sponsor for large sales opportunities. Bonus potential to be discussed during interview process. 

 

In addition, the SM will qualify leads and effectively distribute them to the field. A full understanding of brands, price points and our competitive position will enable higher success in converting new sales.  Further responsibilities will include weekly meetings to review objectives/performance results with direct reports and frequent reporting to leadership.   Current annual revenue of approximately $40M is projected for a minimum of 15% growth in sales revenue per fiscal year.  The position will oversee a maximum of 10 direct reports.   Primary interaction will be with Sales Operations. 

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: %Time

 

 

  • Aggressively managing the generation/distribution of all projects leads utilizing CRM       10%

                                                                                                                                 

  • Analyze, quantify and record large opportunities for effective forecasting                           10%                      

 

  • Training, reviewing performance results and setting KPI for direct reports                           30%

 

  • Field sales and (MLR (if supervised)) support for direct reports to increase sales, 

improve client relations and provide personal face-to-face training and mentoring                  50%                                                                     

 

  • Supervising the training and success of up to 10 sales associates 

 

  • This position will report directly to the President of SEG

 

** Note travel requirement – 50%

Requirements:

 

  • Minimum work experience:  Bachelor’s degree or 5 years work experience

 

  • Maintain a complete understanding of pricing, price strategy and overall marketing concepts, as defined by leadership. Enter required data into CRM system to document daily all pertinent sales activity, account updates, client information, and additional sales reporting documentation as defined by department SOPs

 

  • Meet and exceed assigned quotas

 

  • Occasional overnight travel may be required by air and/or auto

 

  • Able to work autonomously with little or no supervision

  • Sales Management Background – ability to train/mentor direct reports in the sales process.  Set sales performance benchmarks and manage to expectations on a regular basis.    KPI’s to include sales forecasting and funnel review as well as actual sales volume realized.  Set performance improvement plans and initiatives as needed.   Recruit and retain sales talent

 

  • Conduct virtual (Teams) and onsite meetings on a weekly basis

 

  • Organizational Skills – ability to plan and effectively utilize the various resources available to increase win probability and enhance margin performance.  Effective time management and the ability to prioritize and focus to meet critical deadlines is essential

 

  • Interpersonal / Communication skills – Heavy reliance on verbal and written communication essential for success

 

  • Training – Mentoring -- ability to transfer knowledge for sales growth and market penetration to include effective use of sales and marketing tools.   Incorporate end user feedback and input to assist in new product development and marketing collateral

 

  • Computer Literacy – ability to efficiently use Microsoft Office Word/PowerPoint/Outlook.  A strong working understanding of EXCEL is critical

 

  • Strong Analytical Skills – ability to analyze data for the effective quantification of leads and project opportunities.   Ability to reflect sales data for sales performance tracking.   Effectively identify trends and assist in growth projections/expectations
