Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC components.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems using schematics, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Perform welding, residential painting, and other manual repairs to maintain property aesthetics and safety standards.
- Read and interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings to diagnose problems accurately.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to log work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future tasks.
- Supervise or assist with small-scale projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Support facilities maintenance operations by managing tools, supplies, and equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant concerns promptly and professionally.
- Lead or assist in supervising maintenance team members or contractors when necessary to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities or property maintenance within residential or manufacturing environments.
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of schematics, PLCs, and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters.
- Mechanical knowledge including welding skills and familiarity with plumbing systems.
- Experience with CMMS software for work order management is preferred.
- Supervising or leadership experience is advantageous for coordinating team efforts effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and customer interactions.
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques adds value to property aesthetic upkeep.
