Role Description The Field Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Glendale, AZ, responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing industrial equipment such as overhead cranes, hoists, automotive lifts, dock safety systems, and related material handling systems. Day-to-day tasks include performing scheduled and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, conducting safety inspections and load tests, and documenting all work performed in service reports. The technician will interact with customers on-site, explain findings and recommendations, and support training on safe use and basic maintenance of equipment. The role also involves following company and regulatory safety procedures, using appropriate tools and test equipment, coordinating with the service team for parts and scheduling, and traveling locally to customer facilities as required.
Qualifications
- Hands-on skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of industrial equipment (e.g., cranes, hoists, lifts, dock systems).
- Ability to perform inspections, load testing, and basic commissioning activities while following safety and compliance guidelines.
- Competence in reading technical documentation such as manuals, drawings, and schematics, and using common hand and power tools safely.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Capacity to work independently on-site, manage time and priorities, and maintain accurate service records and reports.
- Comfort working at heights and in industrial environments, with adherence to PPE and safety practices at all times.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to customer locations in and around Glendale, AZ.
