The Product Development team plays a strong role in developing unique tools for students such as interactive learning activities and virtual simulations. The Project Coordinator position will be responsible for helping to advance the company’s mission by ensuring these projects are deployed on-time and meet quality standards. Our team is a collection groups made up of software and web developers, 3D generalists, and videographers.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a coordinator for Product Development projects. Collaborate with the Product Development Product Manager (PDPM), and additional stakeholders on project goals, scope, requirements, task assignments, risk assessment, organization, schedules, and timelines.
  • Support the PDPM, project manager, and teams to streamline and implement processes and procedures to maximize efficiencies.
  • Support effective communication throughout all levels of the organization per project.
  • Research and create project plans for teams, including identifying viable alternatives for solving problems.
  • Understand and be able to articulate projects and their progress.
  • Utilize project management software applications to keep projects up to date and manage employee workflow.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project specific documentation and records involving multiple contributing teams. Perform project tracking functions and ensure all documentation is disseminated to the appropriate users.
  • Analyze project data, including utilization and project delivery performance.
  • Generate and distribute various reports.
  • Develop high quality, partner-facing resources including dashboards, simulation documentation, user guides, and marketing materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational skills, including a strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage projects while supporting multiple business units simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies and practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to work well with others and communicate effectively with all levels of the company and external business partners.
  • Ability to foster collaboration across the organization.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with spreadsheet data, and Adobe Acrobat are preferred.
  • Task-oriented and decisive with strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and solve problems creatively.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, exciting, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to occasionally work off-hours to meet project needs and travel as necessary (up to 25%).
  • Willingness to assume additional responsibilities as required.

Preferred Experience

  • 2 years of experience in project coordination. Agile and/or Scrum experience is preferred.
  • Experience coordinating or managing multiple projects at one time.
  • Understanding of the Higher Education/Online Learning Industry and/or software development.
  • Experience with retrospectives or postmortems.
  • Experience with issue tracking software such as Zoho or Jira.

Bonus Experience

  • Experience with secure file storage and sharing such as Box.
  • Experience with work management software such as Smartsheet.
  • Experience with issue tracking software such as Zoho or Jira.
  • Experience with communication platforms for chat and video conferencing such as Microsoft Teams.

Education and Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or similar.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or other project management certifications are preferred.
