Quality Lab Technicians (onsite)

We are looking for experienced Quality Lab Technicians (TOTAL OF 3).

1 - 1st shift (7 am-3 pm)

1 - 2nd shift (3 pm-11 pm) - $2/hour shift differential

1 - 3rd shift (11 pm-7 am) - $3/hour shift differential

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate with HSE as part of every decision following all Orbia safety fundamentals and lifesaving rules at all times.
• Understand and follow lab procedures for sample handling and documentation.
• Complete all assigned incoming and outgoing quality testing and document all results.
• Maintain pellet retain inventory
• Liaison with the process lab technician and PD&A manager for troubleshooting assistance in production
• Review production paperwork for accuracy and maintain historic database of this paperwork
• Conduct any additional lab testing that PD&A may need
• Accurately record test results on designated sheets.
• Collaborate with production to support their objectives and initiatives.
• Ensure punctuality and diligence during working hours.
• Other duties as assigned.

This is an On-Site position and benefits are eligible on the first day of employment.

Training will be on 1st shift for up to 6 weeks, then transferred to assigned shift.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Minimum of 2 years in relevant environment (manufacturing, quality preferred).
• Ability to acquire and develop the math skills and technical knowledge relevant to the job.
• Good communication and math skills, with the ability to work under deadlines following instructions.
• Technically proficient with Microsoft Suite, knowledge of SAP Quality system is preferred.
• Ability to follow SOPs for lab testing per ASTM methods and understanding of ISO 9001 is also preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with employees, management, etc.
• Ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
• Knowledge of basic safety protocols and procedures relevant to laboratory testing and plant operations.
• Ability to accurately process documentation and maintain records.
• Attention to detail to ensure compliance with administrative and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to identify issues and propose solutions in administrative processes.
• Capacity to handle unexpected situations and adapt as needed.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments.
• Willingness to support team members and contribute to overall plant objectives.
• Efficient time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage workload effectively.
• Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and work environments within the plant setting.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
