What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR/Office Manager position at Orases?

The HR / Office Manager is a multi-functional role combining the full spectrum of human resources with a heavy focus on recruiting new talent and basic office management responsibilities of Orases.  We are looking for someone who is superb at finding and attracting new talent to our fast growing company, while bringing a rock-solid understanding of HR activities, and is also willing to roll up their sleeves in support of the team in taking care of the office environment day-to-day.  The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, someone who is comfortable working autonomously but also plays well with a team. The candidate would truly appreciate how important culture is to an organization, and bring this enthusiasm to their recruiting efforts and the office through new ideas and programs.  We need someone who is great at selling our company to new employee prospects, keeps us in good shape on the HR front, but is not above doing the day-to-day office stuff that is essential to our daily operations. 

Specifically, we are looking for someone who can achieve the following goals successfully:

  • Design and implement an overall recruiting strategy which is capable of attracting new employees to Orases, primarily in the areas of software development, business analysis and project management.  This includes developing job descriptions, implementing job awareness / posting strategies, sourcing and screening candidates, and managing the interview processes for the company.  

  • Manage general HR related activities for Orases in a way that amplifies our unique culture.  This includes onboarding of new candidates, benefits administration, maintaining org charts, compliance, helping the leadership team with employee relations, and defining an approach to performance management.

  • Make our office space and environment run effectively day-to-day.  This includes everything from procurement of supplies, keeping the kitchen stocked, company swag management, and managing vendors who take care of the office security, cleanliness and operations from time-to-time.

Candidate will report to the Co-Founder / VP of Finance as a full-time, on-site, salaried employee.
