Role Description The Personal Trainer/Orangetheory Fitness Coach is a full-time, on-site role based in Downers Grove, IL. This coach leads high-energy group training sessions, guiding members through structured workouts that combine strength, cardio, and circuit training in alignment with Orangetheory programming. Daily responsibilities include demonstrating proper exercise technique, monitoring member performance and safety, providing real-time coaching cues, and offering modifications for different fitness levels. The coach builds strong relationships with members, supports their fitness and wellness goals, and contributes to a positive, inclusive studio culture. Additional tasks may include pre- and post-class member engagement, basic equipment setup, and collaboration with the studio team on member retention and studio events.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Personal Training and Fitness Instruction, with the ability to lead safe, effective, and engaging group workouts.
- Current fitness certification (e.g., NASM, ACE or ACSM,) and CPR/AED certification, or willingness to obtain prior to start date.
- Ability to motivate diverse groups, communicate clearly, and create an inclusive, encouraging environment for all fitness levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and comfort working in a fast-paced, member-focused studio setting.
- Previous group fitness or boutique studio coaching experience is preferred; familiarity with technology-driven training is a plus.
