ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Mentoring Program Leadership • Launch, manage, and monitor the OC3 District Mentoring Program. • Recruit, train, and assign mentors to identified students across schools. • Ensure each mentor provides consistent support through weekly calls, monthly school visits, and at least one annual enrichment activity. • Track and monitor mentor-mentee interactions to ensure quality and consistency. Student Support and Engagement • Identify students for mentoring who are chronically absent, suspended five or more times, expelled, recommended for expulsion, or otherwise disengaged. • Provide one-on-one and group personal development opportunities for students. • Coordinate student participation in conferences and summits focused on conflict resolution, leadership, and college and career readiness. Program Coordination and Collaboration • Collaborate with the Social and Emotional Learning and Behavior Support Coordinator, MTSS Coordinators, and school-based D.E.E.P. (Develop – Encourage – Empower – Personalize) Teams to align mentoring with social-emotional learning (SEL) and behavior supports. • Work with the Mental Health team, counselors, teachers, and administrators to support students holistically. • Partner with families through parent engagement events. Data Collection and Reporting • Maintain accurate records of mentor assignments, student progress, and program outcomes. • Provide data for bi-monthly reporting on chronic absenteeism, suspensions, and student engagement. • Contribute to evaluation reports presented to the Superintendent, advisory group, and Board of Education
