Description:  2021-2022 Reading Interventionist

Job Summary:  The Reading Interventionist is a highly qualified teacher who works specifically with small groups of students who require strategic and intensive intervention.  The focus of the reading interventionist is to develop a student-centered system of intervention that effectively works to close the achievement gap in reading.  

Qualifications:  This candidate must possess a valid South Carolina Teaching certificate in English or another qualifiying area.  Three to five years experience teaching in a education setting is a must.  Must have experience administering assessments and analyzing data to drive intervention and instruction.   

Working Conditions:   This candidate will report to the Principal.  This position is tied directly to Title 1 funding and no expectation of employment beyond this school year is implied or guaranteed.
