Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in custodial services, residential cleaning, and hotel management. This role requires exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards to ensure guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise housekeeping staff, ensuring all team members are trained in cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules for residential, commercial, and hotel environments to maintain optimal cleanliness.
- Oversee the laundering of linens and uniforms, ensuring quality control in all laundry processes.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
- Handle customer service inquiries and resolve any issues related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Oversee inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules around events or peak occupancy times.
- Provide ongoing training and support for staff on best practices in floor care, sanitation, and safety measures.
- Communicate effectively with the team of supervisors and business owners.
Experience
- Proven experience in housekeeping management or a similar role within the hospitality or commercial cleaning industry.
- Team Leadership.
- Strong knowledge of custodial practices, including effective cleaning techniques and the use of various cleaning products.
- Experience in customer service with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Familiarity with hotel operations is preferred but not mandatory; experience in residential cleaning is also valuable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
