Orange Swim Club LLC is an emerging sports organization in Fullerton, CA, dedicated to excellence in youth athletics. We are looking for a visionary Head Swim Coach to lead the official launch and development of our new USA Swimming competitive program. This is a rare opportunity to build a premier swim team from the ground up in a high-demand, high-potential area of Orange County.
[Key Responsibilities]
- Program Leadership: Establish and lead a year-round competitive swim program, shaping the team's culture and training philosophy.
- Curriculum Development: Create and implement progressive training plans for all levels, from developmental to elite competitive swimmers.
- Recruitment: Actively recruit, evaluate, and place new swimmers to grow the club's membership.
- Staff Management: Supervise, mentor, and schedule assistant coaches and support staff.
- Competition Management: Prepare athletes for local (SCS), regional, and national competitions; manage meet entries and logistics.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with USA Swimming SafeSport policies and maintain a safe, positive training environment.
- Communication: Maintain professional and transparent communication with parents, athletes, and club management.
[Qualifications - Mandatory]
- USA Swimming Experience: Must meet the USA Swimming requirements to serve as a Head Coach for a new club (minimum 4 years of USA Swimming coaching experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership/lead coach role).
- Certifications: Active USA Swimming Coach Membership in good standing (including SafeSport, Background Check, and required certifications).
- Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of stroke mechanics, physiology, and modern training methodologies.
[Preferred Qualifications]
- Experience in successfully launching or significantly growing a swim club/program.
- Strong networking ties within the Southern California Swimming (SCS) community.
- Proven track record of developing swimmers for collegiate or national-level competition.
