Sales Manager

Job Overview

Responsibilities

- Recruit, hire, train, and mentor sales staff

- Set individual and team sales goals

- Monitor performance and hold staff accountable for targets

- Conduct regular sales meetings and product training

- Schedule staff to ensure adequate showroom coverage

- Coach team members on closing techniques and customer service

- Achieve monthly and yearly dealership sales targets

- Work with the General Manager to plan inventory levels

- Monitor aging inventory and create strategies to move units

- Work closely with the Finance/Business Manager to structure deals

- Approve pricing, discounts, and trade values

- Ensure compliance with lender requirements and dealership policies

- Maximize profitability while maintaining competitive pricing

Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED (required)

- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Management (preferred but not always required in powersports)

- 3–5 years of sales experience (preferably in powersports, automotive, RV, or marine industries)

- 1–3 years of sales management or team leadership experience

- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

- Experience working with financing, deal structuring, and trade evaluations

- Ability to work weekends and seasonal extended hours

- Ability to stand and move around the showroom for extended periods

- Ability to assist with outdoor unit demonstrations if needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
