Position: School Administrative Assistant
Location: Turkey Hill School, Orange, CT
Requirements:
- Excellent administrative assistant and secretarial skills with office protocols and technology
- Proficiency in Windows, Google Docs and all associated applications; Strong Excel, Word and Publisher skills needed
- Experience with PowerSchool and Aesop preferred
- Knowledge or ability to prepare payroll data and purchase orders
- Strong interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
- Self-starter, detail-oriented and collaborative
- Supportive of the Principal and Administrators to ensure all school protocols are followed
- Solid relationship-building skills including the ability to relate easily and work well with faculty, students and the public
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
- Capacity to contribute to a positive school climate
- Skillfulness in avoiding negative feedback loops
- Exhibit professionalism in dress and attire
- 3-years progressively responsible administrative/clerical experience including two years of secretarial experience.
Confidentiality and discretion is a must.
Start Date: asap
Salary: Follows current union contract (union dues apply), paid bi-weekly.
Hours of Employment: 7:45am - 3:45pm. The work year is 200 days and begins 14 work days prior to the first day of school.
Benefits: union position with benefits. This is a ten month position.
Minimum Requirement: Relevant secretarial experience required. Associate's Degree preferred.
