What are the responsibilities and job description for the PSR - Patient Service Representative position at Orange County Urology Associates?
The Patient Service Representative position is a full time clerical position responsible for a variety of tasks and duties related to patient relations including scheduling appointments, answering questions and verifying insurance.
Location: This position has the option to work remotely. However, MUST RESIDE IN CALIFORNIA.
Hours: This is a full-time position and would be scheduled 8 hour shifts from between
7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities include:
- Books, coordinates and reschedules patient’s appointments
- Relays necessary messages to staff regarding appointments and schedules
- Verifies necessary patient information and insurance information
- Maintains and updates current information on physician’s schedules ensuring patients are scheduled properly and appointments are confirmed
- Ensures data is inputted correctly in system
- Updates patient profiles
- Answers questions regarding patient appointments and testing
- Other duties as required by position

Clinical and appointment scheduling experience and understanding of medical terminology are preferred but not required.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Medical Assisting Certification preferred, but not required
