\$22.79 PER HOUR starting wage, more depending on experience!! Patrol
areas of Clearwater County. Investigate and record all reported crimes,
accidents, incidents and follow up as needed. Prepare complex written
reports, collect and log evidence including photography, latent prints,
and physical evidence. Will testify in court, assist prosecution,
investigate traffic related incidents, render aid to the public, serve
civil process and criminal arrest warrants. Must have knowledge of
specific city codes, city government, and general office duties of the
Clearwater County Sheriff\`s Department. The deputy should have a good
working knowledge of backcountry locations and search and rescue.
Perform other related duties as directed or required. Applicants must
have good communication and clerical skills; a high school diploma or
GED; and a valid driver\'s license. Knowledge of modern law enforcement
principles at the local, state, and federal levels. Applicants cannot
have used illegal drugs in the past five years. Applicants required to
pass a pre-employment polygraph exam, medical evaluation, physical
fitness test, firearms qualification, and random drug testing. Must
attend, complete, and pass Idaho POST patrol academy within established
POST regulations. Full time position. Medical and retirement benefits.
