Under the direction of the Creative Director and Musical Director of MONTAGE!, the Vocal Director will interface with the Creative Team on music needs and prepare students for events and performances. MONTAGE! Vocal Director preferred experience and qualifications include strong musicianship, vocal coaching, and piano skills. Bachelor’s in Music is preferred, though not required. Artistic creativity, strong leadership, and organizational skills are needed. Extensive experience leading vocal ensemble rehearsals, working with a cappella groups and coaching solo and small group vocals for high-level performances. Knowledge of multiple genres of music, especially contemporary styles such as R & B, pop/rock, funk, jazz, Broadway, etc., and an openness to work in various styles as needed for shows and events. Live performance and music production experience, including studio/vocal recording, is preferred. Vocal arranging experience is a plus.
