POSITION OVERVIEW
OCSC is seeking a hands-on, strategic Chief Operations Officer (COO) to lead the club’s revenue operations, ticketing strategy, and matchday commercial execution during a critical growth phase.
Reporting directly to the President of Business Operations, the COO will be responsible for all ticket revenue performance, building a structured and scalable commercial engine, and ensuring tight alignment across sales, marketing, and operations.
This role requires a leader who can build systems, drive revenue, and execute at a high level, while leveraging relationships across the Orange County market to expand the club’s reach and impact.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Revenue & Ticketing Leadership
- Own and lead all ticket revenue streams, including season tickets, group sales, premium, and single-game sales
- Develop and execute forward sales strategy to drive predictable, sustainable revenue growth
- Oversee pricing, packaging, and inventory strategy across all matches and events
- Build and manage a high-performance sales organization with clear KPIs and accountability
B2B / Corporate Sales Engine
- Build and lead a structured corporate sales engine focused on long-term revenue growth
- Define target account strategy across Orange County (enterprise, mid-market, and small business segments)
- Develop outbound sales frameworks, hospitality offerings, and corporate engagement pathways
- Drive revenue across key products including:
- Golden Boot Club
- Corporate outings and hospitality
- Group season tickets
- Small business programs
- Establish repeatable processes for prospecting, pipeline development, and conversion
- Leverage and expand existing relationships within the Orange County business and live events ecosystem
Marketing Alignment & Demand Generation
- Ensure marketing is directly aligned to revenue goals, with clear accountability for demand generation
- Partner closely with marketing leadership on campaign planning, timing, and performance
- Align messaging, targeting, and promotions with ticket sales objectives
- Drive integrated campaigns that convert awareness into attendance and revenue
Matchday as a Revenue Platform
- Lead strategy to position matchday as a core revenue-driving platform, not just an operational function
- Maximize in-stadium revenue opportunities including:
- Corporate hosting and hospitality
- Upsell opportunities and premium experiences
- Future ticket sales and retention initiatives
- Work closely with OCSC’s outsourced operations partner to ensure execution supports revenue and fan experience goals
- Ensure a high-quality, repeatable experience that drives lifetime fan value
Planning, Systems & Performance
- Lead season planning across ticketing, forecasting, and operational readiness
- Oversee CRM usage, pipeline management, reporting, and performance tracking across all sales functions
- Build scalable systems and processes to support long-term growth
- Establish clear reporting frameworks tied to revenue performance
Leadership & Organizational Impact
- Serve as a key member of the club’s leadership team
- Build a culture of accountability, urgency, and execution excellence
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, partnerships, finance, and soccer operations
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of experience in sports, entertainment, or related revenue-driven industries
- Proven track record of building and scaling revenue systems and driving ticket sales growth
- Experience leading and developing high-performing sales and/or operations teams
- Strong understanding of ticketing systems, CRM platforms, and revenue operations
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and external vendors
- Existing relationships within the Orange County market, business community, or live events ecosystem strongly preferred
- Strategic thinker with strong operational execution capabilities
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience driving revenue growth in a results-oriented environment
- Experience in professional sports or live events
- Experience with stadium operations or event execution
- Familiarity with USL, MLS, or global football landscape
