Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address academic, social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to create and implement student support plans.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.
- Act as a liaison between students, parents, and community resources to promote student well-being.
- Participate in school meetings, committees, and professional development opportunities as required.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to students in emergency situations.
- Promote a positive school climate and culture through outreach and engagement activities.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in School Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
- Valid state certification or licensure in school counseling preferred.
- Previous experience working with adolescents in an educational or counseling setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff.
- Knowledge of counseling techniques, educational resources, and community services.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Position will begin February, 2026 or earlier.
