Orange County Health Psychologists is a behavioral health group practice located near the Irvine Spectrum. Our wonderful administrative team supports 55 psychologists and therapists conducting almost 50,000 patient visits per year.
We are currently hiring a part time Billing Specialist to process and post patient credit card payments. The right candidate is available 3 days per week for 4 hours per day (12-15 hours per week). This position is perfect for a college student or someone with personal responsibilities that limit their ability to work full time. There may be opportunity for increased hours in the future, but our current needs are no more than 12-15 hours per week. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE WORK POSITION. WORK MUST BE PERFORMED IN OUR IRVINE OFFICE.

Job Summary:
- Process credit card transactions with accuracy, efficiency and security
- Post payments accurately to patient accounts
- Prepare patient billing statements and email communications
- Submit billing data to insurance providers
- Perform Medicare/Medi-Cal reviews and audits
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage a high volume of work while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
- General proficiency of business equipment and software
- Ability to efficiently multi-task
- Maintain patient confidentiality with an understanding and respect for HIPAA regulations
- Securely maintain and update patient payment information
- Manage time efficiently to meet daily and weekly deadlines
- Proactively solve problems and take initiative
- Work with integrity and high ethical standards

Compensation: $18.00 per hour
