What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Concession Attendant position at Orange County Government?
This position would work at the Soccer.com Center Concession Stand at 4701 W Ten Rd, Efland, NC 27243, starting Fall 2026.
* Background Check is required and SBI background check with fingerprinting.
Primary duties include operations of the Soccer.com Center concession stand.
Serves all food and beverage items to patrons of the Soccer.com Center in a pleasant and efficient manner.
Prepares and serves food items, handle money and make change, clean and sanitize all concession equipment daily.
Works closely with the Recreation Superintendent on concession inventories and sanitation requirements in accordance with the Orange County Health Department policies.
Attendant is responsible for enforcing equally all rules and regulations relating to general facility or park rules.
Performs other duties as assigned.
TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in food production and service industry is desired.
Requires knowledge and experience in proper cash management.
Requires the ability to operate equipment, (Turbo Chef, microwave, cash register, beverage machines, popcorn popper, etc.)
Must possess excellent oral communication skills.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
All offers of employment are conditional upon successful clearance of an SBI background check with fingerprinting. Employment cannot commence until Human Resources has received the results of the required testing and the employee is cleared for work.
In accordance with Section 28 of the Orange County Code of Ordinances, and/or relevant State and Federal statutes, candidates for employment may be required to undergo fingerprinting and a criminal history background check based on the job responsibilities of the position. A fingerprinting check is conducted by the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) and a criminal history background check is conducted by an authorized Federal or State regulatory agency to determine eligibility for appointment. Employment is contingent upon successful clearance through these checks, which are mandated for certain roles depending on the nature of the job and applicable laws. Further, all offers of employment are contingent upon the satisfactory verification of your eligibility for employment, successful completion of the required pre-employment testing and/or screening, including drug testing when required and the submission and approval of all new hire documentation completion of your new hire paperwork.
