Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of general dentistry practices, with a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence. As a General Dentist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of dental conditions, ensuring patient comfort, and adhering to all regulatory guidelines to promote optimal oral health outcomes. We do require a basic Capability of root canals, and some oral surgery. Difficult cases can be referred out to the main Dentist, but basically the procedures that are straightforward can be completed.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis using dental terminology and medical imaging techniques.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans encompassing preventive care, restorative procedures, and cosmetic dentistry.
- Conduct dental procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, placement of dental implants, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Utilize dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for documentation, scheduling, and medical records management in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a sterile environment during all procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions while fostering a positive patient experience.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure all treatments are recorded in accordance with healthcare diagnosis standards.
- Collaborate with specialists when necessary for complex cases involving pediatric dentistry or advanced oral surgery procedures.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental practice management software including Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
- Extensive knowledge of general dentistry procedures and dental terminology.
- Strong skills in patient care, client communication, and client education regarding oral health maintenance.
- Expertise in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, implant placement, and other restorative procedures.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and orthodontic treatments is desirable.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques aligned with healthcare regulations.
- Ability to interpret medical imaging and apply anatomy knowledge effectively during diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Experience in dental fabrication processes and working within a fast-paced dental office environment.
