Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately following prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
- Assist pharmacists with medication management, including medication administration and intake procedures
- Maintain precise records of medication inventory, including ordering and stock management
- Support patient care activities by providing medication information and answering patient inquiries
- Follow aseptic techniques during sterile compounding, IV infusion preparation, and other critical procedures
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including infection control and medication storage regulations
- Assist in the training of new staff or interns as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely medication delivery and optimal patient care
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment adhering to hospital or pharmacy policies
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and pharmacy operations
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with ANY pharmacy software systems
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and adherence to safety protocols
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred
