What are the responsibilities and job description for the Walk-In Clinic Patient Access Representative position at Orange City Area Health System?
Description: The Walk-In Clinic Receptionist greets and assists patients in person and by phone, adds patients to the clinic schedule, transfers calls to the nurse, collects copayments, and verifies patient information. This role supports smooth clinic operations and contributes to a high level of customer service through professional communication, accuracy, and teamwork.
Number of Hours: Casual: 20 hours every 4 weeks
Schedule: Friday- Sunday Week #3 (4-week rotation)
Ability to pick up additional hours casually
Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday 5:00 – 9:00 PM
And Saturday and Sunday 1:00- 9:00 PM
Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required. Customer Service and computer experience required.
Other: The applicant must work well with patients in the utmost professional and confidential manner. This person must be able to work under stress, handling a large volume of phone calls and patient encounters. He/she must have attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and computer skills. The ability to work with the public in a pleasant and professional manner is required.
