Position Summary

Packagers ensure the accurate and timely production and final packaging of company products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Must maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Precise weighing, labeling, and sealing of cannabis products (flower, pre-rolls, extracts, and edibles) for retail or wholesale distribution
  • Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining efficiency and consistency
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and thoroughness to promote quality product
  • Quality Control, including advising management of any issues identified
  • Ability to safely use tools and other equipment
  • Packaging & Assembly: Hand-filling, weighing, and sealing cannabis products (bags, jars, pre-roll tubes) according to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Labeling & Compliance: Applying, scanning, and checking labels for accuracy (batch number, strain, weight) to ensure compliance with state regulations. ● Inventory & Data Entry: Using seed-to-sale software (e.g., METRC) to track product weight and total units produced.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspecting finished products for defects (mold, damages). ● Sanitation: Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, machinery, and tools to maintain a sterile environment.
  • Production Goals: Meeting daily/weekly quotas in a fast-paced setting.
  • Accurately weigh and record production records,
  • Comply with policies and directives as set forth in the Employee Handbook, and as outlined by Management including phone use.
  • Comply with company and state regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Knowledge and familiarity with cannabis
  • Experience in the cannabis industry
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Basic math, weight and measurement skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability and willingness to work hours required by the position, including weekends
  • Must be able to maintain qualifications for Cannabis Control Commission licensing

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the functions of this job, an employee must walk, stand, or remain stationary during the entire shift. The employee is regularly exposed to strong cannabis odors and frequently required to handle cannabis products. Employees must be able to continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe with the potential for slipping or tripping. May be required to work at heights of up to 10 feet. This position may include repetitive tasks using hands. Employees must frequently wash their hands and lift or move up to 30 pounds. Employees must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment effectively and safely.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
