Solutions Engineer – Data Platform
We are looking for a Solutions Engineer to help enterprise organizations solve complex data challenges using our modern metadata platform. This role blends technical depth, product expertise, and strong communication skills — ideal for someone who can bridge engineering and business to drive real customer outcomes!
Location: REMOTE in Northeast Corridor (DC to Boston) is the goal, but open to anyone on the East Coast!

What You’ll Do
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to prospects and customers throughout evaluations, pilots, and onboarding.
- Lead deep-dive discovery, understanding customer data environments, governance models, architecture, and pain points.
- Guide customers through POVs, demos, and workshops, showcasing how the platform solves real-world metadata, lineage, governance, and data discovery challenges.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product to represent customer use cases, surface insights, and influence roadmap direction.
- Design and articulate end-to-end integration strategies, including ingestion pipelines, APIs, metadata modeling, lineage capture, and access patterns.
- Build and customize demos, proof-of-concepts, and technical assets to accelerate customer understanding and adoption.
- Support account executives in technical conversations, RFP responses, and value-based selling motions.
- Champion best practices around data governance, data quality, observability, cataloging, and metadata management.
- Partner with customer success to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing technical success.
What You Bring
- 3–5 years in a Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Data Engineering, or similar customer-facing technical role.
- Strong understanding of modern data ecosystems, including data warehouses, lakehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, orchestration tools, and streaming technologies.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Python or scripting languages
- SQL, data modeling, and distributed data systems
- APIs, SDKs, and integration design
- CI/CD and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Ability to break down complex concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience running demos, POVs, and technical workshops with enterprise customers.
- A consultative, solutions-oriented mindset — you can identify problems, design the right architecture, and guide the customer on best practices.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities shift and customer feedback drives constant iteration.
- Strong communication skills, storytelling ability, and a desire to partner closely with sales.
